Dum Aloo Masala
The dish known as Dum Aloo Masala is a popular Indian curry made with baby potatoes cooked in a rich and flavorful gravy
Ingredients
- 450 gm Potato small
- 1 nos Onion
- 4 tbsp Oil
- 1 tsp Chili Powder
- ½ tsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- ½ tsp Sugar
- ¼ tsp Garam Masala
- 150 ml Water
- ½ bunch Coriander Leaf For Garnish
- Salt as required
Instructions
- Scrub or peel the potatoes and cut them into even-sized pieces.
- Boil them until just tender.
- Grind the onion to a fine paste.
- Heat the oil in a pan,
- Add the onion paste and fry until lightly browned.
- Then add chili powder,turmeric powder,ginger paste,sugar and salt.
- Fry for 1-2 minutes without letting the mixture burn, Then add water.
- When the water begins to simmer,stir in the potatoes.
- Cover and cook until the sauce has thickened.
- Sprinkle with the garam masala and remove from the stove.
Notes
Garnish with coriander leaves and serve.
