chicken kasa
The dish is popular for its rich and aromatic flavours that come from a blend of various spices and herbs.
Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken
- 3 nos Onion finely sliced
- 2 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 nos Tomato chopped
- 2 tbsp Turmeric Powder
- 2 tbsp Coriander Powder
- 2 tbsp Cumin powder
- 2 tbsp Kashmiri Red Chilli Powder
- 1 nos Bay Leaf
- 1 nos Cinnamon
- 4 nos Cardamom
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- Salt As requried
- 4 tbsp Mustard Oil
- 6 tbsp Yogurt
- Kasthuri methi
- 2 tbsp chicken masala
- ¼ tbsp sugar
Instructions
- Wash the chicken properly and marinate with salt, turmeric, Kashmiri chilli, yogurt and some mustard oil for 20-30 minutes.
- Heat a kadai, add some mustard oil and let it get heated.
- Then add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon and the finely sliced onions and cook till lightly golden brown.
- Then, add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.then add chopped tomatoes.
- After the oil separates from the masala, add the marinated chicken, add cumin powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, red chilli powder, yogurt and mixed well.
- To balance the masala taste add ¼tbsp sugar.
- Cover the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes.
- Once it dry up and masala coats the chickens at that time add the garam masala and Kasthuri methi and mixed it well.
- Remove from the heat and serve it.
