Wash the chicken properly and marinate with salt, turmeric, Kashmiri chilli, yogurt and some mustard oil for 20-30 minutes.
Heat a kadai, add some mustard oil and let it get heated.
Then add bay leaf, cardamom, cinnamon and the finely sliced onions and cook till lightly golden brown.
Then, add ginger garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes.then add chopped tomatoes.
After the oil separates from the masala, add the marinated chicken, add cumin powder, coriander powder, chicken masala, red chilli powder, yogurt and mixed well.
To balance the masala taste add ¼tbsp sugar.
Cover the chicken for 20 to 30 minutes.
Once it dry up and masala coats the chickens at that time add the garam masala and Kasthuri methi and mixed it well.
Remove from the heat and serve it.
