How to make Karanji pitha in Odia style
Karanji pitha is a traditional food of Odisha. In festival time Karanji pitha prepares. So here is the procedure of Karanji pitha preparation in Odia style.
Equipment
- 1 Frying Pan
- 1 Frying Spoon
- 1 Knifes for cutting
Ingredients
For dough
- 200 Gram Maida
- 50 Gram Ghee
- 1 Cup Milk Warm
- Salt as required
For stuffing
- 2 Cup Dry Coconut Grated
- 100 Gram Sugar
Some Nut: Cashew, Raisin , Elaichi
- 500 Gram Ghee for fry
Instructions
Preparation
- Heat the pan
- Apply the ghee to the pan
- Fry the dry grated coconut, nuts, Elaichi & some sugar
- Wait some time for fry these item
- After that take Maida, ghee & a pinch of salt mixed it properly
- Then apply the warm milk on it & mix it
- Your dough is ready
Frying
- Make a small small ball in dough
- Then make it like chapatti/roti
- Keep the stuffing item in the middle of the chapatti/roti
- And seal it with the help of water
- Then fry it in ghee
