Nandankanan Zoological Park, located in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, covers an area of 437 hectares and was established in 1960. It was made accessible to the public in 1979. In 2009, it became the first zoo in India to be a part of the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums. Also known as Nandankanan National Park, this zoo offers various attractions such as boating, safaris featuring white tigers, lions, bears, and herbivores, a reptile park, a zoo museum, an orchid house, a Nocturnal Animal House, and an Aquarium.
